Overall a great love story, but it's like the author doesn't know baseball. Several mistakes. Player made it home and the next player is up to bat, gets a base for and he runs home again. In one scene he's in the batting line up, but he's a pitcher and he's not pitching until later. Home plate is called the mound. For anyone who knows baseball, it was very distracting.Product details

Cash Greenwood is one of MLB's very best, but he comes from a troubled past. So it makes him work harder, and not fall into all the distractions that plague many players. He's never found any woman to catch his interest until Delilah. Delilah Gray comes from a long line of baseball's royalty, and she sees what the effects of fame can happen to a relationship, so she's sworn never to date a baseball player. Until she meets the very determined Cash. The Long Ball is a very entertaining, fast paced read that I LOVED! The character development is great, with a colorful cast of secondaries. Smokin' chemistry leads to SCORCHIN' HOT sexy scene goodness that will make readers break out in a sweat. Aria Cole's talented writing style keeps my heart racing cover to cover, and she adds in some OMG worthy moments with her twists. However, my very favorite part, was the multi Epilogues that kept me from whining about a rushed ending! I love this author, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This book is about one of the best baseball players of our time who became obsessed with playing when he was younger to forget about what was going on in his life back then. His past obviously gave him legendary status but it also left his demons with him too. Cash Greenwood ate and slept baseball most of his life but when it came to women, unlike most ball player - he could've cared less. Love was a joke to him because love was what got him into this. Love was what he always wanted but never had so why bother. Deep down inside though, denial just stinks and when Delilah walked into that clubhouse that theory reared its ugly head.
Delilah - the beautiful, raven haired woman who was hired by coach to gather stats and prepare all the analytics for the team and players individually so they can try and be the best and make it to the end. The World Series! That wasn't the only end that happened though...

Cash woke up the morning before opening day for practice - went to the clubhouse before practice and before he knew it - his whole world stopped in a matter of seconds when the door opened and there she was. You want to know what happened....

Many of us read a lot of books with so much angst that it's just so refreshing from time to time to just read a book that is just mainly about happiness and LOVE!! Yes, beautiful, sappy, melt your heart, and keep your perma-smile on until the end. Every woman would be a better person if we all had a Cash in our lives no doubt! If you want to know who is an ULTIMATE, AMAZING, and SWOONWORTHY Book Boyfriend is - Cash Underwood! DREAMY! *sigh

Dayum....these 2 were hot as hell. I stayed up late to finish this book because I could not put it down. Their chemistry was off the charts....pretty sure I may have blushed at some point...and they were only making out. Hot as hell.
Cash is a famous major league baseball player and all around great guy. Delilah was hired by the coach to assess the team game stats and help the entire team improve their game. Cash knows right away that he wants Delilah right away, but she resist for awhile thinking he is like every other baseball player, but he isn't. He really is a dreamy guy....totally book boyfriend material. Definitely had to add him to my BBC (book boyfriend collection).
Their story really flowed for me and I loved the storyline in general. They both had less than attentive dads, his being drunk most of the time and hers being a wild former baseball player that would rather party and cheat on her mom....all the time. At one point of the story something happened that had me gasping in shock....wth. Loved being shocked and surprised by the book. Delilah's hesitancy is warranted and I don't blame her at all, but eventually she realizes they are meant to be.
They get their happily-ever-after and one of them gets their happy ending with their dad....so then they both get a dad figure...win, win. I love that she showed quite a few clips of their life together in the future....very fun thing going on for them and they are still madly in love. Absolutely loved these two...1 of my 2 favorite couples of hers. If you like great writing, storylines, short, hot as hell insta-love books....this one is definitely for you.

I am not a sport romance reader but I do love Aria Cole so I knew it would be good. Very sweet read and sexy. Delilah plays a little hard to get since she has a past family history of not trusting ball players. Cash, oh who wouldn't love him, he wants Delilah and he gets want he wants.
I loved this book! Aria has a talent for making her characters chemistry in a story. I loved how Cash never gave up in this book. It was also nice to see certain relationships being mended (read the book to see). Overall, my favorite part was the few epilogues. I loved that theu showed the years of tje relationship that had big milestones. I can't wait to read more from Aria. If you love possesive, alpha men, insta love, and a sexy, steamy read then this is your book!! ;)
